Michigan man charged with threatening to stab pregnant Chambersburg woman

13 February 2024- A man is now behind bars in Franklin County, PA after allegedly threatening to stab a Chambersburg woman in the back. Michael Christopher Bodrey is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment, all misdemeanors, following an incident over the weekend. He failed to post bail of $30,000.

Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to a home on Park Circle W, Hamilton Township for a 911 hang-up call. When they arrived, they spoke to two women who initially called in the incident.

Troopers say that the witness they spoke to told them she was in a verbal argument with Michael Bodrey about the victim, a pregnant woman, staying at their home. The argument allegedly escalated, with Bodrey picking up a knife and saying “I am going to stab her from the back” about the victim. Bodrey, PSP say, then exited the home and started walking to a park that he knew the victim was at.

The victim was interviewed next, with her telling police she heard the argument from a kitchen window and then left the area when she heard the threats of violence against her. She did this, PSP say, because “she was scared for her and her unborn child’s life”.

Bodrey was found nearby the scene and reportedly gave police the exact location the aforementioned knife was.

Michael Bodrey is behind bars on $30,000 bail.
