27 January 2023- A Baltimore woman is behind bars on $150,000 bail after allegedly stealing over $7,000 from Ulta Beauty in Chambersburg last August. Tracey Michelle Talley is behind bars after being charged with felony retail theft, felony theft, and felony receiving stolen property.
On August 18th 2022, PSP-Chambersburg were dispatched to the Ulta Beauty on Lincoln Way East for reports of three women stealing from the store. After talking to the store manager, police allegedly learned that ten minutes before three women walked into the store with black Under Armor shopping bags under their clothes. The manager and staff allegedly knew the women and told staff to call the police when the three women allegedly started putting merchandise into the bags. When the three women heard the manager call for the police, they allegedly ran out of the store with merchandise in their bags without paying for them. The manager was, however, allegedly able to photograph their getaway vehicle with Virginia plates before they saw it getting on I-81SB.
Security camera footage from the incident allegedly was used to identify the ringleader of the three women, Tracey Michelle Talley. Talley was allegedly wearing black flipflops, black leggings, a white X-Men t shirt, and a covid mask. The store manager also allegedly said that Talley was the one giving orders to the other two women, as well as being the driver of the black Infiniti with Virginia plates.
Troopers from PSP-Chambersburg were contacted by Troopers from PSP-Gettysburg after a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) was issued for the car and women. The three women were allegedly involved that same day with a retail theft at the Gettysburg Under Armor store.
Talley is behind bars on $150,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is set for January 31st.
