08 September 2023- A Chambersburg man is looking at multiple felonies after he allegedly has sex with a 13 year old in an abandoned Chambersburg building. Joselito Abdias Rojas Perez is charged with felony rape forcible compulsion and felony statutory sexual assault. Rojas Perez is behind bars on $100,000 bail.
On August 8th, Chambersburg PD received an investigation request involving a juvenile victim. The request showed that Joselito Rojas-Perez had allegedly raped the victim inside an abandoned building on Fairground Avenue in Chambersburg. The victim was reportedly 13 at the time of the incident and Rojas-Perez was listed as being 20.
A forensic interview was conducted with the victim a few days later, with her confirming the report of sexual assault. The victim said her arms were pushed down by Rojas-Perez and she verbally refused the advances. This all allegedly happened at the abandoned building not far from Rojas-Perez’s home.
On September 1st, police interviewed Rojas-Perez. Initially he denied the allegations and physical contact with the victim in general but later admitted to having “consensual sex” with the victim. He did, however, acknowledge that the victim was 13 and “too young”. Rojas-Perez also confirmed the location of the incident as being in the abandoned house.
Joselito Rojas-Perez is behind bars on $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for September 12th.
