Man arrested after allegedly breaking into Waynesboro home, assaulting occupants

17 January 2023- A man with no fixed address is charged with burglary and other charges after allegedly breaking into a home on North Church Street around 5pm on December 27th, assaulting the residents, and leaving. Tylor Davidson Lamance is charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary criminal mischief. He is behind bars on $50,000 bail.

On December 27th around 5:30pm the Waynesboro PD were dispatched to a home on North Church Street for reports of an active burglary. When arriving, police spoke to the two victims, who said that Tylor Lamance had broken into the home and assaulted her and another man. The victim immediately identified Lamance. Lamance allegedly broke into the home, damaging the from door after allegedly kicking it in. The second victim allegedly looked like he had a concussion as well as other injuries to his head and face. The victim allegedly had trouble standing and was extremely confused, partially covered in blood and having a laceration to his face and inside of his mouth.

The first witness told police that she allegedly tried to push Lamance back down the stairs away from the home but he ignored calls to leave. It was at this point Lamance allegedly walked to the couch where the second victim was sitting, asked who he was, and then began assaulting him. After a couple of hits, Lamance allegedly left the home. The second victim was taken to Waynesboro Hospital for treatment. A search of the area could not find Lamance.

Lamance is behind bars on $50,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for January 24th.
