Lockdown at Roxbury Treatment Center sends mother to Franklin County Jail on terroristic threats charges

15 April 2024- A Carlisle mother is behind bars in Franklin County Jail today after allegedly sending the Roxbury Treatment Center into lockdown over the weekend. Shentelle Amelia Michaele Easter is facing charges of disorderly conduct engage in fighting and terroristic threats, both misdemeanors. Her bail has been set at $100,000 and has not been posted.

PSP were dispatched to the Roxbury Treatment Center around 9:30am on April 14th for a patient’s mother that was causing issues, then later escalating into threats. Dispatch reportedly relayed info that the woman, now identified as Shentelle Easter, had made threats of burning down the building. Easter was found outside the Center and subsequently detained by PSP as an investigation was carried out.

Troopers say staff at the Center told them that Easter arrived earlier and tried to sign her child out of the Center but was told that she did not have authorization to release him. Easter allegedly made comments about damaging property, escalating to burning down the center. Because of these threats, a lockdown was carried out at Roxbury.

During interviews with Easter, PSP say that she admitted to making comments about burning down the center.

Shentelle Easter failed to post bail of $100,000 and is behind bars in Franklin County.
