It looks like we’re in for an early spring if Punxsutawney Phil is to be believed

February 2 — We all remember the “don’t drive angry” line from Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and today might be a good day to revisit that classic movie.

This morning in Gobbler’s Knob, a number of officials gathered while Punxsutawney Phil in fact, did not see his shadow.

This was the 138th time in history that Phil made his legendary prediction.

Thousands of people gathered to hear the prognosticator’s prophecy early this morning and according to Phil, in 2024, spring will come early.

Interestingly, a study yesterday came out about the accuracy of the groundhog’s predictions over the years.

Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “You would think it’s 50/50, right? He’s got a 50/50 shot at this. He’s been accurate 39% of the time, so he has not been a great prognosticator. Take solace in the fact that he’s only right 39% of the time, which means it probably means six more weeks of winter.”
