December 21 – Tens of thousands of people are crossing the porous southern border in this country right now – in fact, it reached record numbers for crossings in a single day yesterday.
Reports have shown that there were more than 12,000 encounters on Monday alone.
And that number does not include the thousands still waiting to cross.
Apparently facilities in those areas are more than 250 percent over capacity and border patrol agents are outmanned by a ratio of 200 to 1.
According to reports, almost 2.4 million came across the border in fiscal year 2023.
And yet Congress seems unable to get any policies passed.
Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM said, “This disaster has gotten exponentially worse on the southern border. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s southern border. Make sure you Biden voters put those signs out on your front lawn so we know exactly where we’re going to start seeing these folks knocking on the door.”
President Biden and Congressional negotiators have agreed to place a cap on the number of asylum requests.
Ryan said, “However, what do they do? They go away. It’s time for the break. Here we go. It’s recess. It’s break. It’s vacation. Meanwhile we’re left out here holding the bag. I see the Texas governor is sending by flight some folks out of Texas to Chicago. It is a damn mess and our lawmakers and the chief in charge and his idiot sidekick are absolutely jack and we’re in trouble.”
Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “This is a huge problem and what’s baffling with Biden’s lack of doing anything on this, every poll you look at shows wide public opinion agreeing that this is a problem, even among Democrats. I think this is a real political problem next year for Joe Biden and Democrats as well.”
Every day the number of encounters the border patrol agents are reporting is just increasing.
Barkdoll said, “I can remember last year when we would talk about this, the numbers were roughly 100,000 people a month. Do you know that that number currently is more than double that? We’re well over 200,000 people a month are the estimates of people that are coming in and that might even be conservative. The US House went into recess last week. The Senate stayed in this week, presumably they were trying to hammer out a deal on southern border security. They were also tying things with Israel and Ukraine.”
But none of that got done.
Barkdoll said, “They’ve now gone home and they won’t be back for weeks until after the Christmas break. So this is an issue that’s just going to sit. I did see some reports saying they’re going to have some people in these negotiating committees in Congress, they’re going to do some virtual meetings over the break but nothing will be voted on for quite some time, if they can even reach a deal to get it to the floor.”
