If COVID 19 was unleashed on the world through a lab leak, shouldn’t someone be held responsible?

January 16 – With the mounting evidence that it looks like COVID 19 actually did originate in a lab, a whole lot of people are wondering what, if anything will be done about it?

And ultimately, will someone be held accountable?

Sue Guzman of Fox News reported, “Early in the pandemic Dr. Francis Collins was among those who said COVID-19 had natural origins, publicly blasting those who claimed it escaped from a Chinese lab. Now Collins admitted to a Congressional Coronavirus subcommittee Friday, the COVID Lab leak theory was credible. His testimony echoing that of Dr. Anthony Fauci before the panel earlier in the week and like Fauci, Collins admitted that the six feet social distancing rule was not based on science. The Select Subcommittee on the pandemic has been investigating the origin of COVID-19, censorship for those questioning policy and the use of coercive mandates.”

Collins served as director of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, from 2009 to 2021.

Congressman John Joyce said, “I was there when Fauci played the word games. I was there as he testified last week. He really kind of wiggled out of gain of function. He said, well, your definition is different from my definition of gain of function and we recognize that that gain of a function was occurring at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Gain a function really means that you’re manipulating a virus and making it more infectious or more deadly. That’s pretty common science. I don’t care how Collins or Fauci wanted to change those words, and NIH funding allowed that to occur. That was a grave mistake. They wouldn’t accept that responsibility for it and during his own transcribed interview, Collins agreed with Fauci’s admission that the lab leak hypothesis isn’t a conspiracy theory. Guess what folks? We’re not into conspiracy theories. We’re looking for what unleashed this virus and caused this pandemic and it came from a lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. It came at a lab that was doing gain of function research, a lab that was manipulating a virus and making it more deadly. Both Collins and Fauci in their own roundabout way, owned up that so much of this was not conspiracy theory, and there was no science behind masking. There was no science behind, standing six feet apart. These are guys who are based in science. Francis Collins as head of the NIH has spent an entire career and they should be using science. And what did they do? They turned away from their own tenets of what they respect and understand. They made it up as they went along. Americans saw through that. Americans saw that there was no benefit from wearing masks. Americans saw there was no benefit from standing six feet apart. We had the head of the NIH in Congress finally acknowledging that NIH funds were not to be used for gain of function research. We recognize that this unleashing of a pandemic, there’s a culpability that the NIH, Francis Collins and Tony Fauci have that culpability. This is something that the Select Subcommittee on the origins of the COVID virus released a final report. It’s something that we need to finally let the American people know you were right all along.”

Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM pointed out, “I want to talk about another point that he made which is just flabbergasting to me, where he says, if you’re a public health person and you’re trying to make a decision, you have a very narrow view of what the right decision is and that is something that saves a life, it doesn’t matter what else happens you attach infinite value to stopping the disease and saving a life. No, if you’re a scientist and actually an intellectual person with any intelligence, you weigh out the consequences. You look at the pluses and the minuses, and then you come up with a sane decision. We had people’s lives, careers irreparably damaged and people intimidated if they disagreed with Collins and Fauci and if they suggested closing down everything was a mistake and would hurt more people, if they suggested that masking wasn’t really helping, if they suggested we just protect the vulnerable and let other people go about their business because we’re going to do such harm. That wasn’t unforeseeable for a scientific person and he’s a current science adviser to the Biden administration. When are they ever going to hold these guys accountable and say you’re responsible for the deaths of many and you knew things that you out and out lied about and accused others of misinformation and disinformation about? They should be held accountable, not just a report.”

Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM predicted, “But nothing will happen. Nothing will happen.”

Joyce said, “That’s the responsibility of Congress to see that something does happen. I am confident that with this information, we can move forward. I think that we’re not finished, our committee. These were the first and they wouldn’t do it in an open forum. This was a closed door, again, disappointing, but you have to take those steps to be able to allow that accountability to occur. The American people are going to get answers and then we move on with the next steps and I promise you those next steps will occur.”
