7 July 2023 – When a white powdery substance was found on the floor near the West Wing entrance of the White House on Sunday, it was immediately sent to the lab for testing.
The results are in – it was cocaine.
Needless to say, this has sparked an incredible number of questions from all areas of the political arena.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer said, “We have concerns about national security risks, obviously. There are a lot of explanations that could be made for what happened there, but at the end of the day, with all the money and all the security that we have around the White House, something like this should never happen.”
Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM agreed, “That’s exactly right. All the money, all the security, all the cops, all the stuff on top of the roof. On January 6, you could triangulate phones. You’ve got camera angles all over the place. You’ve got all this security in there and we can’t figure this out right away?”
Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “This is a big problem. At Wednesday’s White House Press Conference, a CBS News reporters specifically asked the press secretary, could someone bring a bag of anthrax into that waiting room and apparently it wouldn’t be screened? She didn’t answer. She said we’re letting the investigation play out. But I think that question amplifies the point that Representative Comer is making. If someone snuck a bag of cocaine into this waiting area of the West Wing, that is clearly a big security problem.”
The Bidens were not in the White House when all this went down, but apparently there could have been hundreds of people a day that come in and out of the waiting room where the cocaine was discovered.
Barkdoll noted, “It’s not necessarily people from the public, per se. These are reporters, these are lobbyists. These are other officials that are coming in to visit White House staff people.”
The Secret Service is taking a look at visitor logs and camera footage to try to figure out who may have brought it in.
Barkdoll said, “I see there’s some speculation, was this a plant? Did someone sneak this in to try to test the system to do something else? Who knows? All we know is you shouldn’t be finding a bag of cocaine in what should be one of, if not the most, secure facilities in the world. Something went wrong here.”
Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM added, “First of all, the location kept changing. First, we heard oh it’s where the public (goes), but there was apparently a recorded early responder that said it’s in the library. So what the heck? How does that happen? And that’s over with the family. That’s not where this is. Secondly, it is the West Wing. It’s not where the public comes from. That’s the other side. It is people like reporters, lobbyists and then special guests that are getting a tour. It’s not the general public as has been described on some news media outlets. Then they’re going to have the Secret Service deal with this? Oh, I think cameras will suddenly be broken. Things will have been turned off. We have a record of the Secret Service covering for Hunter Biden. Now I’m not saying it was him, but it’s just the perception here. They went and tried to cover up the whole gun thing. They tried to get that paperwork from the gun store. So really, we don’t have confidence that the Secret Service is going to be honest.”
Barkdoll said, “When this initially broke, they said it was in the library and then it became it was this area and then it finally evolved to it was this waiting room that is for high-level visitors and lobbyists and reporters. You would think by now with all of the resources at the disposal of the Secret Service, they would quickly be able to narrow this down to a handful of people, particularly when they know that the Biden family was not in the White House that day. Mark Levin has been talking about this. He’s openly saying he thinks it was a news reporter. Because there was not a lot of business being conducted in the White House when this bag was found. We assumed that they do a sweep every night, so they can also narrow down the timeframe when this happened. Well, there was really no official business going on. The only people in there may have been members of the press, and maybe a small number of White House staff because everyone else had more or less checked out for the weekend, which you would think makes the investigation easier, but here we are, almost a week later and we’re hearing nothing about it.”
Ryan pointed out, “You throw all that money at education and you’re churning out morons. You throw all that money at the government and you’re churning out….‘I don’t know where it was. I don’t know who brought it in. (Now) Let’s see the (White House) cameras.’ We all know how well cameras work. Just ask the Epstein family about cameras.”
Jansen noted, “Media is joking about it. They’re not looking into this seriously. I mean, the Diet Coke that Trump drank, oh, that was a serious news story and we had to worry about that. But the actual cocaine found in the White House, in Biden’s White House, we’re just going to make a joke about it.”
