Hits & Run

CHAMBERSBURG – On October 2, 2021, at approximately 9:30 PM, one vehicle was involved in two separate hit-and-run crashes within a period of approximately five minutes.

First, the suspect vehicle rear-ended another vehicle on the first block of N Second St. While the driver of the other vehicle was gathering their information, the suspect vehicle drove away, turning West onto King St. The suspect vehicle then turned South onto Main St and collided with another vehicle that was turning onto Main St from the other direction. The suspect vehicle then briefly stops, before leaving again traveling South on Main St, then West on Lincoln Way W, and finally North on Hood St. Its whereabouts after that are unknown. The vehicle is a dark gray/blue Chevrolet SUV; most likely an Equinox. The suspect driver is a white woman with brown/auburn hair. At the time, she was wearing a red shirt and darkly colored pants. The person shown in the photo may have information relevant to an ongoing police investigation. She is a person of interest, but not necessarily a suspect at this time.
