Hagerstown woman in Franklin County jail hit with more charges after guards find fentanyl on her

14 December 2022- A Hagerstown woman who was already in jail on numerous drug charges is looking at more after jailers allegedly find a heroin and fentanyl capsule on her. Rebecca Ann Schultz is charged with felony possession of a controlled contraband substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Schultz is already in jail but is given an unsecured bail of $25,000.

On February 10th of this year, when she was booked for that other drug crime, Pennsylvania State Police were called to the Franklin County Jail to investigate Rebecca Ann Schultz. Police were told that a female arrestee had allegedly brought contraband into the jail. Upon arrival, police learned that during an unclothed body search a green pill capsule was found. On May 18th, results from the Pennsylvania State Police laboratory found that that pill on Schultz’s person contained heroin and fentanyl, both of which are contraband substances.

Schultz is already in jail but did not have to post an additional bail of $25,000. Her preliminary hearing is set for December 20th.
