30 November 2022- On Sunday, December 4th, the Gingerbread Dash 5K event will be held on streets in the downtown area. The race route will be a loop that includes Lee Street, S. Mulberry Street, S. Potomac Street, W. Memorial Blvd., and Summit Avenue (see accompanying map).
The race begins at 9:00 AM, and is expected to be completed by 11:00 AM. No street closures are planned for this event; however, officers from the Hagerstown Police Department and the Auxiliary Police will temporarily halt traffic on streets along the route until the runners pass by. Motorists are advised that there may be temporary delays near the race route, and may want to consider alternate routes to avoid the race.
Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the streets on the race route, but dispatchers are advised that some temporary delays are possible.
