CHAMBERSBURG – CPD will be participating in the state wide Aggressive Driving Enforcement. As part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project, this wave will aim to reduce the number of aggressive driving related crashes, injuries and deaths on roadways throughout the state. Any aggressive driver stopped by police will receive a citation.
The enforcement wave will focus on distracted driving, speeding and work zone awareness. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors such as red light or stop sign violations, following too closely, or other aggressive actions will also receive a citation.
The Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project is funded by part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
