17 August 2023- No suspects have been named in an incident involving rocks or objects being thrown onto I-70 in Fulton County. Police responded to mile marker 165.5 on I-70 EB around 2:20am on July 30th for a disabled motorist. When they arrived, police learned that someone threw objects off an overpass and onto the highway in an attempt to hit the vehicle of the victim, a 35 year old Gibsonia, PA woman.
The person who threw the objects fled from the scene undetected by police or the motorist. PSP-McConnellsburg continue to investigate.
A 63 year old Needmore man is looking at DUI charges after a traffic stop on Ebenezer Church Road. Police say that 63 year old Dale Booth of Needmore, PA was stopped around 12:40am on July 29th for traffic violations. Booth, according to police, was suspected of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was subsequently transported to Fulton County Medical Center for a blood draw.
Two people from north of Pittsburgh are facing charges in Fulton County for DUI and possession after a traffic stop on I-70. Police say that Jeremy Rivera, 32, of Slippery Rock and Michael Maniet, 25, of Zelienople, were stopped for traffic violations around 12:20am on June 23rd.
Neither Rivera or Maniet have been charged yet, per court records, but look to be charged with DUI and marijuana possession. It is unclear who will receive what charges.
A 13 year old boy is looking at charges of criminal mischief after he allegedly damages a cinderblock wall at McConnellsburg Middle School. Police say they were alerted to damages at the school at 151 E Cherry Street in McConnellsburg around midnight on June 27th.
After an investigation, police determined charges were applicable for the 13 year old McConnellsburg teen.
A Warfordsburg man is facing charges of felony strangulation, simple assault, and harassment after a domestic incident earlier this month. Pennsylvania State Police responded to a home on Hill Road in Bethel Township around 7:10am on August 10th for a domestic incident. Police say taht Mark Nicholson, 28, choked the victim and ripped her shirt. Nicholson allegedly also whipped the victim with a flogger. He has since charged and given a bail of $25,000 by MDJ Hemming.
