28 September 2023- Tonight is the night as Chambersburg Area School District’s hosts their annual Veterans’ Appreciation Night game under the lights at Trojan Stadium. The 3-2 Trojans are set to take on the 1-4 Cumberland Valley Eagles under the lights in a game that is set to be pivotal for Chambersburg’s playoff hopes.
For the festivities, all Franklin County Veterans are invited to the game and will receive complimentary admission to the game. It’s also set to feature a patriotic half-time show followed by refreshments for all vets.
Kickoff for the game is at 7pm and gates open at 5:30.
Chambersburg remains in the playoff race with a 3-2 overall record, 1-1 in conference play. The outcome in this game will likely determine if the Trojans make the playoffs, especially against a Cumberland Valley team that is uncharacteristically weak this year. Expect a defense first, low scoring game but a great one for veterans to take in!
