Franklin PSP Roundup: Stolen vehicle in Saint Thomas, more

27 October 2023- Police do not list a suspect but say that a 76 year old Saint Thomas man had his 1996 Chevrolet Blazer stolen from him during the morning of October 12th. Troopers were called that day to Pioneer Drive in Saint Thomas Township for the vehicle’s theft that occurred sometime between 7:45pm and 2:15pm.

It was later found at another location on October 13th. No suspects have been named, nor have charges been filed.


A crash on September 23rd in Franklin County is recorded as having sent a 68 year old Chambersburg woman to the hospital for serious injuries. Police say that a 1992 Buick Le Sabre driven by the woman failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the road on Wayne Road near its intersection with Poe Road, Guilford Township.

The vehicle left the roadway and struck a guide rail head-on, causing disabling damage to the car. The vehicle then came to a stop in the middle of the roadway. The driver suffered what was described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Marion ambulance to Meritus Hospital.
