September 19 – We’ve all seen the news. We know how many accidents happen on Interstate 81, sometimes it seems like on a daily basis.
NOW is the time to have your voice be heard about the changes YOU would like to see.
The Franklin County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has created a survey for residents to weigh in on the future priorities for Interstate 81.
In addition, the MPO, the county’s planning department and members of the project team will meet TONIGHT from 5 to 7 p.m. in the commissioner’s boardroom at 272 North Second Street in Chambersburg.
Franklin County Commissioner John Flannery said, “A formal presentation we’ll begin around 5:30. So for these people out there that are understanding the challenges we have on 81 because we listen to you, every day tell us where the accident is on I-81, it’s important to get out. At least take that survey. We’re trying to encourage friends, family, neighbors of yours to take the survey. It’ll be available through October 12.”
