Franklin County PSP Roundup: Cane assault by a 19 year old girl, more

09 February 2024- A reported assault in Antrim Township last month is being treated by PSP as occurring with a weapon, according to PSP.

Troopers were dispatched to a fight between a 19 year old Orange Park, Florida woman and a 19 year old Greencastle man around 5:35pm on January 25th. Troopers initially had to locate one of the parties, likely the 19 year old female. Upon an investigation, Troopers determined that the weapon in question was a metal cane.

The unnamed woman is facing charges of assault with a weapon but PSP say they’re continuing to investigate.

Troopers say they were called to a location on Browns Mill Road in Antrim Township for a report of two possible students in possession of marijuana. Upon arrival, police say they investigated and arrested a 17 year old Hagerstown man who was in possession of a small amount of weed.

Troopers are asking for assistance following the theft of a propane tank from a rental property owned by a Newville woman. PSP were dispatched initially to a location on Marco Circle in Southampton Township, Franklin County for a theft of a 60 gallon propane tank on 4pm on January 17th.

Police determined that unknown actors removed the propane tank from the victim’s property but do not have any reported leads.

An investigation is ongoing into a possible indecent assault of a child at a location on Furnace Road, Quincy Township. Troopers were notified of the incident, which allegedly occurred between 2015 and 2016, to a then-five year old girl.

This incident is still being investigated by PSP and any further updates will come from them.
