CHAMBERSBURG – December 24, 2020 a fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on East Philadelphia Avenue near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard East, north of Chambersburg. The accident claimed the life of a 46-year-old man Christmas Eve according to State Police.
The two-vehicle crash involved a Cadillac Sedan and a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
According the Pennsylvania State Police Public Information Release report, a DUI and “traveling at a speed greater than reasonable for conditions” were part of the crash investigation.
At the time of the crash, Central Pennsylvania was experiencing periods of heavy rain. According to the release, the name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of family.
