01 February 2023- Chambersburg PD and the Franklin County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a home in the Borough on January 31st, resulting in the arrest of one man. Jose David Martinez-Rivera is charged with felony possession with the intent to distribute. Martinez-Rivera is free on an unsecured bail of $25,000.
A search warrant was executed on a home in the borough of Chambersburg on Kennedy Street on January 31st as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation. It was carried out by both the Chambersburg Police Department and the Franklin County Drug Task Force. During the search of the home, police allegedly found two M30 pills known to contain fentanyl, two hand guns, and amounts of US currency. Police indications are that these indicative of a unlawful drug delivery operation.
Jose Martinez-Rivera was present at the home at the time the warrant was executed. Interviews with Miranda after his arrest were conducted, with him allegedly saying he does not use controlled substances, but he does sell M30 pills. The pills were sent to the PSP laboratory for testing.
Martinez-Rivera is free on an unsecured bail of $25,000. His preliminary hearing is set for February 21st.
