06 June 2023- As Pennsylvania, as well as states across the country, continue to grapple with the legal ramifications following the overturn of Roe v Wade, Pregnancy Resource Centers continue to become a sticking point for both sides. That’s why the Pennsylvania House Republican Policy Committee is set to hold a hearing to discuss them with relevant authorities.
Representative Paul Schemel (R-Franklin), Republican Chair of the House Committee on Health and the Subcommittee on Health Care, is set to host host the discussion on Wednesday in the Ryan Office Building at the State Capitol. Schemel will be joined by Representatives Kate Klunk (R-Hanover), Policy Committee Chairman Josh Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), and members of the policy committee. Additionally, the committee will hear from experts Amy Scheuring of the Women’s Choice Network in Pittsburgh, Jill Hartman of A Woman’s Concern in Lancaster, Chelsey Youman of Human Coalition, and many parents.
The Committee hearing will be held at 9am and will be broadcast online at PAGOPPolicy.com and PAHouseGOP.com.
