11 September 2023- PSP say they arrested a Hagerstown man following a traffic stop in the Borough of Waynesboro. Brandon Ringus, 25, of Hagerstown, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and DUI following a 12:30am stop on September 8th. The stop occurred around S Potomac Street and W Gay Street based off traffic violations.
The destruction of CCTV cord by a step-sibling in Quincy leads to criminal mischief charges for a York man. Police have not named the 22 year old but say that around 4:50pm on September 8th they were dispatched to a home on Anthony Highway in Quincy for a trespassing and criminal mischief report.
Upon arrival, police found that the man had ripped the outside video surveillance cord, breaking it, at his step-sister’s property. He was additionally not permitted to be on the property.
A Chambersburg man is facing extradition charges to Maryland after PSP arrest him as a fugitive from justice. Troopers arrested Eliseo Melchor, 29, of Chambersburg on extradition charges based off warrants from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
A search shows that Melchor is facing two counts of felony assault in the first degree and two counts of misdemeanor assault in the second degree from a case filed last year in Washington County.
A fight in the Ollie’s parking lot in Chambersburg leads to charges for two Chambersburg residents. Police were dispatched around 2pm on September 9th to the location on Lincoln Way East and found an adult male and female got into a physical altercation with another woman.
During the fight, the 52 year old Lititz woman was allegedly pushed into the side of the vehicle and elbowed multiple times in the ribs by the male. Additionally, the victim was allegedly punched in the face by the other woman multiple times.
Both the 37 year old woman and 46 year old man were given citations for harassment.
