Franklin Co. Roundup: Over $1,200 in trading cards stolen from Walmart, more

30 November 2023- PSP are currently investigating the theft of two items from a bus owned by a Waynesboro church and school. Troopers were dispatched to Orrstown Road, Southampton Township around 6pm on October 25th for a theft from a school bus.

When they arrived, police found the bus’ red crowbar and a fire extinguisher was stolen by an unknown person. As of publication, PSP say they’re still investigating. The valued amount for both items totals to $75.

A theft at a Fannett Township storage unit is facing investigation from PSP Troopers in Franklin County. Police were dispatched to a storage unit located at 17078 Path Valley Road, Fannett Township around 2:30pm on November 26th.

Police say that unknown actors managed to get into the unit and take a Whirlpool washer, a Whirlpool dryer, a 55″ Panasonic TV, and an ivory colored chair with an ottoman.

A 34 year old Frederick, Maryland man is facing major shoplifting charges after allegedly taking over $1,200 worth of trading cards from Walmart in Chambersburg.

Police, who have not released the man’s name, say that he was arrested just before 1:30pm on October 29th at the Walmart on Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg.

The man stands accused of stealing multiple packs of MLB cards, NBA cards, Pokémon cards, and other merchandise from the store. The total stolen adds to $1,220.07.

A Chambersburg man is looking at a citation for scattering rubbish after allegedly leaving numerous household items at another person’s house for disposal.

The unnamed man allegedly discarded numerous windows and their blind’s on the property of a 64 year old Chambersburg man located on Boyer Mill Road, Hamilton Township. All occurring around 4:45pm on November 28th, police say that the younger man was cited for scattering rubbish.
