05 July 2023- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating found drug paraphernalia in the area of Lincoln Way East in Guilford Township. Police say around 1pm on June 15th they were alerted to drugs and paraphernalia being found in that area. One suspect has reportedly been identified but no charges have been filed as of time of publication.
On July 3rd, Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup around 7:52pm. Police say that the 30 year old Waynesboro man was found to be DUI on alcohol and had multiple traffic violations prior to the stop near the intersection of Walker Road and Limekiln Road in Chambersburg. Police have not release the name of the driver.
PSP-Chambersburg Troopers were called to a location on Williamson Road in Antrim Township for an alleged altercation on May 7th, 2023. Police say that the victim and the arrestee, a 59 year old Hedgesville, WV woman, had been in a verbal fight when the 46 year old St Thomas resident victim was struck with a bag. Harassment charges were filed against the arrestee.
Troopers were called to a vacant garage on Mountain Road in Peters Township on June 21st for an alleged assault. During the investigation, it was learned that two juveniles, a 14 year old Mercersburg male and a 13 year old Mercersburg female, had a fight that became physical. The 14 year old boy was subsequently charged with a non-traffic citation for harassment.
Police responded to a location on E California Street in Mercersburg Borough around 9:20am on July 3rd for a reported deceased male. Troopers allegedly found the man, who’s name was not released but is described as a 47 year old Mercersburg man, was determined to not have died in a suspicious manner. Police say there are no public safety issues as a result of the death but they are still investigating.
Pennsylvania State Troopers responded to a reported shooting near the 14300 block of Buchanan Trail East in Washington Township on June 28th for a reported shooting. Police say that the shooting, which occurred around 8:30pm, had one listed victim. It is unknown about the health of the victim, but police say that she is/was a 28 year old Waynesboro woman. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact PSP Chambersburg at 717-264-5161 and reference incident number PA23-853156.
A 16 year old Montgomery Township, PA juvenile is charged with theft after police are called to a Binkley Road home on June 4th. Police say that the victim had a kayak stolen from him and he had a few leads as to who the suspect was. The 16 year old male was later arrested for the theft but police say that PSP-Chambersburg is continuing to investigate.
