Franklin Co. PSP Roundup: Theft of tools from a car, theft of a car, more

13 December 2023- PSP is looking for the owner of of a found bicycle that police were initially alerted to on Warm Spring Road earlier this month. Troopers say that they received word around 2:15pm on December 2nd of a found Huffy Rock Creek bike along the 200 block of Warm Spring Road, Hamilton Township. The bike was taken back to PSP Chambersburg Barracks where the owner can claim it.

Troopers in Chambersburg are currently investigating a reported vehicle theft that was taken from a home on Wayne Road earlier this month. Police say that a 2021 White Kia Forte was taken from a location on Wayne Road, Guilford Township from a 91 year old man. PSP continue to investigate.

Pennsylvania State Police say that a juvenile girl and a 20 year old man are facing charges of theft following a shoplifting incident at the Chambersburg TJ Maxx on Lincoln Way East.

Naszeer Texeira of Philadelphia and an unnamed 14 year old were arrested in early November for allegedly attempting to take $386.67 worth of merchandise from the retailer before being stopped in the parking lot. Both Texeira and the juvenile were identified and apprehended following the incident.

The charges were just made available this week.

Hundreds of dollars worth of tools are determined to have been stolen from a vehicle early in November with PSP making this available today. Troopers say that two Greencastle residents discovered a hunting bag, tools, and two packs of cigarettes were stolen from their vehicle around 9:45am on November 11th.

Troopers say the a $230 Milwaukee band saw, a $149 Milwaukee impact drill, a $70 Milwaukee drill, a $119 Milwaukee hammer drill, and the $100 hunting bag with items inside of it were taken from a 2018 Ford on Hykes Road E in Antrim Township.
