Franklin Co. PSP Roundup: Road rage ends with throwing of pop can, more

14 November 2023- An unnamed Frederick, Maryland man is facing multiple charges after allegedly acting belligerently near a series of truck stops in Greencastle last week. Police were called to the location on John Wayne Drive around 3:30pm on November 9th initially for a welfare check when they talked to the Frederick man.

Upon arrival, police determined the man to be under the influence of alcohol. He was also charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, with charges later being filed through MDJ Gomez-Shockey. PSP continue to investigate.

A New Hampshire man is facing charges in Metal Township, Franklin County, after a rollover crash last month. Police were dispatched to a location on Creek Road, Metal Township around midnight on October 21st for a single-vehicle rollover crash. It was determined that the man, Austin Sansgragrin, 28, of Errol, NH, was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently charged with a suspicion of DUI.

A Martinsburg woman is looking at a repair bill following a criminal mischief perpetrated against her last week.

PSP were dispatched around 5:30am on November 10th to a location in the 2300 block of Philadelphia Avenue, Greene Township for damaged property. Police reportedly found a 2020 Chevrolet Trax with a smashed windshield, and multiple smashed side windows to the front and rear of the passenger side.

PSP is asking anyone with information on the incident to contact them in Chamberbsurg.

A 19 year old Fayetteville man is facing charges of disorderly conduct after an apparent road rage incident last week.

PSP were called to E Main Street in Fayetteville around 3:10pm on November 11th for a disturbance. Police spoke with the victim, with them allegedly saying that a vehicle was tailgating her but when she pulled into her driveway, that car stopped in front of her residence.

The victim continued, relating the man shouted profanity at her and reportedly threw a Mountain Dew can at her car. That vehicle, however, was later found to belong to the 19 year old man after the victim obtained the plate number.

Following an interview with the man, he was cited with disorderly conduct.

A vehicle stolen from a contractor in Chambersburg was reportedly found later in Washington County, Maryland after assistance from the WCSO.

PSP were alerted to a vehicle theft just before 4pm on November 7th from a location on Technology Avenue, Greene Township. A canvass of the area found that the vehicle, a 2012 GM Acadia, was stolen from a mechanical contractor and remained missing.

At a later date, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland located the vehicle in possession of Ronald Jones, 62, of Fort Loudon, PA. He was taken into custody shortly after and charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
