Franklin Co. PSP Roundup: Retail theft in Lurgan Twp, midmorning DUI on Black Gap Rd

19 August 2023- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a reported retail theft that occurred in Lurgan Township this month. Troopers say that around 12:15am on August 11th, a Dewalt Flex Volt battery valued at $99 was stolen from a store on Newburg Road in Lurgan Township. An investigation is ongoing, but police say a 2012 Chevrolet was involved in the theft.


Troopers announce charges for a yet unnamed Shippensburg woman on DUI following an incident on Black Gap Road. Troopers pulled over a vehicle for traffic violations around 10:15am on August 17th and subsequently arrested the 43 year old Shippensburg woman on suspicion of DUI on view of alcohol.


Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg are investigating a report of terroristic threats near the intersection of Nugget Way and Cottonwood Avenue in St Thomas Township earlier this summer. Police say that a 19 year old female and a 37 year old male were victims, but have not specified what happened around 12:40am on July 18th.
