Franklin Co. PSP Roundup: PSP looking for trailer loaded with ATVs stolen in Greencastle

12 February 2024- Pennsylvania State Police say a 70 year old Chambersburg man is facing charges following a theft of a rental truck from Lowes. Troopers were initially called to the store on February 3rd for a rental truck that had not been returned.

Eventually, Troopers were able to locate the truck and the responsible party, a 70 year old, unnamed Chambersburg man, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.


A flatbed trailer loaded with ATVs has been reported missing following an incident in late January. Troopers say they were dispatched to a home on Clearview Avenue, Antrim Township around 4:50pm on January 25th for a reported theft.

When they arrived, police learned that unknown actors stole the victim’s pull-behind flat bed trailer. On that trailer at the time of its theft was a 2005 gray Polaris Sportsman 700 and a 2002 black and gray Polaris Sportsman 500.

A heat pump is being recorded as stolen from a location on Spring Road in Guilford Township sometime in January, per Pennsylvania State Police.

Troopers were informed of the theft of a $4,000 2.5 ton Luxaire Packaged Heat Pump, model UB030 from the site beteween 8am on January 5th and 8am on January 13th. During the incident, a $15 lock was also damaged.

A 59 year old McConnellsburg man is facing retail theft charges after allegedly stealing over $850 in assorted grocery items from Walmart in Chambersburg. The unnamed man was charged after allegedly taking the items over three separate visits to the store. In total, Walmart records their losses at $854.93.
