14 July 2023- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a reported identity theft of a 58 year old Greencastle man. Police say they were alerted on July 11th around 6:30pm to a man who had a Chime account opened in his name. Troopers continue to investigate.
In a separate identity theft incident, police were alerted on May 19th of an identity theft for which the victim currently lives in Texas and is unable to get a drivers license. Police in Chambersburg are investigating this incident.
In the morning of July 12th, Pennsylvania State Police were called to a location on Wayne Avenue in Guilford Township for a deceased male. When they arrived, they allegedly found a 40 year old St Thomas man had died by suicide between 1am and 6:54am that day. Police say they are continuing to investigate.
