Franklin Co. PSP Roundup: Knife fight near Greencastle, more

28 September 2023- An unnamed Hagerstown man is facing charges following a knife fight in Antrim Township earlier this month. Troopers were called to a spot on Coseytown Road near Greencastle for a reported fight between a 26 year old Hagerstown man and a 23 year old Ranson, WV man.

When police arrived, they found that the Hagerstown man had chased the other man around with a knife following the altercation around 12:15am on September 21st.

The Hagerstown man was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, and public drunkenness.


Police are following up on a possession of drug paraphernalia call near Fayetteville main street earlier this summer. PSP Troopers conducted a traffic stop on an unnamed 44 year old Chambersburg woman around 1:30am near Main Street’s intersection with Lincoln Way East.

During the stop, police determined that the driver was in possession of items of drug paraphernalia. She has since been charged and then released.


An attempted burglary in Hamilton Township is being investigated today by PSP-Chambersburg Troopers. Officers were originally dispatched to a location on Warm Spring Road outside of Chambersburg around 3pm on August 22nd for a reported attempted burglary.

Upon investigation, it was determined that someone tried to open a Connex Storage container that belonged to a 59 year old Chambersburg man. The investigation remains ongoing.
