Franklin Co. PSP Roundup: Juveniles lead PSP on chase and found with stolen firearms, more

20 September 2023- Police announced the arrest of an unnamed Shippensburg following a suspicious person/trespassing report earlier this summer. Troopers were dispatched to a location on Lincoln Way West in St Thomas Twp around 11:30am on August 15th when an unknown man was on someone’s property.

When Troopers responded, they allegedly found a 34 year old Shippensburg man on the property. That man, who’s name has not been released, was found to have outstanding warrants. Additionally, police found drug paraphernalia on him at the time of his arrest. Charges have since been filed.

A truck driver from Schuylkill Haven is facing charges following an incident with a security guard earlier this month. Troopers were called to a location on Armada Drive in Antrim Township around 10pm on September 14th for a reported altercation between two people. When they arrived, they allegeldy found that the truck driver, George Klipola, 50, of Schuylkill Haven, threw a drink on a 39 year old Waynesboro man. Klipola was cited for harassment.

A 16 year old girl is charged with a DUI after being pulled over by PSP Troopers around 2:30am on September 17th near the change over from Philadelphia Avenue and Molly Pitcher Highway, Greene Township. The unnamed juvenile was pulled over as part of a traffic violation when they were found to be both under the driving age as well as allegedly drunk. PSP Continue to investigate.

A number of juveniles are were arrested in Franklin County following a theft of a car from a Shippensburg University parking lot. Police say a 16 year old Newville boy, a 17 year old Shippensburg boy, and a 14 year old Shippensburg boy were arrested following a chase and subsequent incident with police on September 14th.

Troopers say the boys took the car and were pursued by Troopers for a number of miles. The 16 year old Newville boy was allegedly found to be in possession of a stolen Sig Sauer P365 handgun during a search. None of the juveniles’ names have been released at this time.

In a seemingly related incident, police found an additional 17 year old in illegal possession of a stolen Ruger P85 handgun. The boy’s arrest location and time of incident line up with the previous charges.
