03 October 2023- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a report of assault and child abuse against a 7 year old boy in Greene Township last week.
Police say they were dispatched to a trailer home community on Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, around 2pm on September 29th for a reported assault. Upon arrival, police found that the 7 year old victim was struck on his left calf with a belt by the child’s mother and step-father. PSP continue to investigate.
Troopers were dispatched around 3am to the Proctor and Gamble distribution center on Olde Scotland Road, Shippensburg for reports of found drugs.
When police arrived, they allegedly seized a small amount of suspected drugs found on the property. PSP entered the white crushed up pills into evidence to be tested later.
Around 2pm on September 1st, Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to a single car crash in Fannett Township for a reported accident and drug overdose.
Police found the driver, a 52 year old Dry Run man, after his Ram 2500 struck a mailbox and guardrail. That man was found by witnesses who said he was suffering from a drug overdose. When Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance staff arrived, the man was given two doses of Narcan and transported to Chambersburg Hospital for monitoring and treatment.
His status from the crash itself, however, was listed as “not injured”.
