22 August 2023- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a reported shoplifting incident at the Sheetz on Olde Scotland Road in Southampton Township. Troopers were dispatched to the location around 3am on August 20th and found that three people were inside of the store and took chocolate milk and an Italian wrap off the shelves and exited without paying.
Sheetz was unable to identify the actors through surveillance and was unable to provide a direction of travel for any of the individuals involved. Anyone with information about the incident should call PSP-Chambersburg.
PSP announce the arrest of a Greencastle man after he escaped from the Franklin County Jail. Joshua Nicholl, 26, was given temporary authorization to go to an outside doctor’s appointment but he reportedly never returned to the jail.
An arrest warrant was issued for Nicholl and he was later apprehended in Maryland by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies. Nicholl is awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
