13 June 2024- A Fayetteville man was sent to the hospital and is set to be charged with multiple crimes after allegedly fleeing Pennsylvania State Police yesterday.

On June 12th around 7:02pm, PSP Troopers say they observed a Toyota Corolla traveling on Lincoln Way East in the area of Dymond Avenue, Guilford Township at speeds of over 110mph in a 55mph zone. Those Troopers activated their emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.

The vehicle continued to travel at excessive speeds and passing other vehicles, utilizing the center turn lane and traveled into Adams County. Troopers were able to utilize a precision immobilization technique (PIT Maneuver) in the area of 1400 Buchanan Valley Road, Franklin Township, Adams County. The vehicle subsequently rolled and came to a final rest on its roof. The operator was identified as Quentin Bitner, 29, of Fayetteville and his passenger both exited the vehicle and were taken into custody without incident.

Both Bitner and the passenger were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Charges for Bitner include fleeing and eluding officers, DUI, and multiple other traffic violations.
