Imagine Hagerstown Returns May 27
Fourth Friday Music Series kicks off with the Amish Outlaws
The City of Hagerstown is pleased to announce the lineup for the May 27 Imagine Hagerstown Fourth Friday event. The free concert takes place from 5-8 pm in University Plaza, 50 West Washington Street, Hagerstown.
The Amish Outlaws kick off the season with what promises to be a patented performance aimed at initiating everyone into the life they live as outlaws and the party they throw to celebrate the freedom they enjoy from their Amish upbringing. They constantly surprise their audiences with a playlist that ranges from Johnny Cash to Jay Z, Lady Gaga to Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, Pitbull to Elvis Presley, Luke Bryan to the Dropkick Murphys, to theme songs from the TV shows they have come to know.
The evening’s opening act will be The Howlers, featuring Todd Haines of Williamsport, MD on acoustic guitar/vocals and Lew Palladino of Hagerstown, MD on lead guitar/vocals. Lew is best known for decades of live performances with The Rhythm Kings. The music The Howlers play is stripped down to the elemental basics of guitars and mics, and draws on a lifetime of musical influences from classic rock, country, blues, and everything in between. A typical performance features songs both well-known and more obscure, from artists and genres that range from The Beatles to Zac Brown.
The Imagine Hagerstown Fourth Friday Music Series is a BYO event! Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and get a takeout meal from one of Downtown’s terrific restaurants. Alcohol in non-breakable containers is permitted.
Imagine Hagerstown is proudly based in Hagerstown’s Arts & Entertainment District. It is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org), the Washington County Arts Council, and is sponsored by Noel’s Fire Protection and Hagerstown Honda and Kia.
