Commemorative Air Force’s AirPower History Tour Hosted by the Hagerstown Aviation Museum

The Hagerstown Aviation Museum is hosting the Commemorative Air Force’s AirPower History Tour!

See WWII living history in the skies over Hagerstown!

 

Don’t miss your opportunity to fly in the iconic B-29 Superfortress “FIFI” when she visits the Hagerstown Aviation Museum in Hagerstown, MD along with her little friends including the C-45, T-6 Texan, PT-13 and more. Bring the family out to the Hagerstown Aviation Museum located in the historic 1943 Fairchild Flight Test Hangar and climb aboard museum aircraft! See historic Fairchild aircraft including the C-82, C-119 Flying Boxcar, C-123, F-27, PT-19 plus exhibits detailing artifacts and stories of local men and women who made the Hagerstown aviation industry boom. The museum’s Fairchild RC-26B Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance airplane,and the iconic “Dustoff” Bell UH-1V Huey air ambulance helicopter will also be on display.

This will be an opportunity to see the museum’s newest acquisition, the 1943 Fairchild UC-61A/GK-1 which left the Fairchild factory during WWII and served in the U.S. Army Air Force.

The museum’s 1943 Fairchild PT-19 WW II trainer, Miss Fairchild, will be available for flight experience rides both Tuesday and Wednesday for a $200 donation. First come, first served.

 

Entry to the Hagerstown Aviation Museum will be through the New Heights Industrial Park at 18450 Showalter Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Signs will be posted to guide attendees to parking and entrance.
