Stop by the Hagerstown Police Department or City Hall to pick up your free chalk (if needed). During the week of September 17th through 23rd, 2023, color an area of the sidewalk with chalk to show peace, love, and unity, but most importantly, to show you are against gangs and violence. (no nudity, sexual images, explicit content, or adult language). Take a picture of your art and email the picture to dstaley@hagerstownpd.org along with your name, age, age group you are competing in, and contact information of guardian (attached to the submission.) Submissions are accepted from September 17th to September 23rd. Winners will be announced on the week of September 25th. There will be a new bicycle for the winner of each age group. The age groups are: elementary school age group, middle school age group, and high school age group.
