HAGERSTOWN, MD — The City of Hagerstown will be closing the first block of South Potomac Street to traffic and opening it to diners for the next 10 weekends beginning Aug. 23.
Join the City in supporting Hagerstown’s outstanding downtown restaurants by choosing to dine outdoors, by eating in the street or getting a to-go order to enjoy in University Plaza or along the Cultural Trail, the first and second Saturdays of September and October from 4 to 9 p.m. and the third and fourth Sundays of August, September and October from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For motorists, a detour route for South Potomac, between Washington and Antietam Streets, will be posted and the usual street closure signage and traffic control devices will be in place. A detailed Traffic Advisory will be issued subsequently.
