UPDATE: Traffic is now backed up on the southbound side past Exit 16, mile marker 16. Expect extended delays as the traffic congestion grows.
20 November 2023- Reports came across emergency bands around 4:05pm today of a vehicle accident in Guilford Township on I-81 southbound. While details are sparce, we have initial information about the incident.
Traffic is currently delayed and backed up fully to exit 14, Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg on the Southbound side. This collision is involving at least one tractor trailer.
Please avoid the area if at all possible and expect initial delays on both I-81 and later on US-11 as trucks and commuters avoid the incident.
