UPDATE 3: Power fully restored – 4am, 30 March 2023.
UPDATE 2: Wires have been reported down in places. Please keep away from affected areas if at all possible. Traffic and power outages have been reported from the base of Radio Hill near the intersection of Sollenberger Road, West Loudon Street, and Lincoln Way West in towards Memorial Square in the borough.
UPDATE: Borough officials report a “blown fuse” at N Franklin Street and Pleasant Street. The outages began around 9:45pm.
29 March 2023- Fire police are directing traffic in the areas around Cedar Grove Cemetery as reports of power outages due to transformer issues darken the borough. Chambersburg PD, Pennsylvania State Police, and other agencies are assisting as the traffic lights and homes are dark from about the Cemetery stretching towards Radio Hill on Lincoln Way West. Franklin Street is completely closed at High Street.
Federal Street is also seemingly blocked off for the time being.
Please avoid area if at all possible as not all lights may have fire police directing traffic.
