14 April 2023- Tones and calls across Fire and EMS scanners in Franklin County came in around 6pm of a fall victim near 72 South Main Street in the Borough of Chambersburg, near the intersection of South Main Street and E&W Queen Streets. Reports coming into News Talk 1037FM soon after said that a boy was involved and the area was quickly cordoned off by Chambersburg PD, Chambersburg Fire and EMS, and PennState Life Lion. The condition, age, or descriptors of the victim are unknown as of this time.
CPD are still conducting an investigation, including visibly tape-measuring the distance between the ground and a second floor window directly above a first floor business. Chambersburg Fire is still on scene with CPD cleaning the area with water hoses and brooms. Please avoid the area as the investigation proceeds.
