DEVELOPING: NWS issue Tornado Warning for Washington County, focus on Southeast area of county

05 June 2024- At 5:46pm, a sever thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Boonsboro, or 9 miles southeast of Municipal Stadium, moving northeast at 15mph.

The National Weather Service is warning of a possible Tornado with radar indicated rotation.

For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm was near Mount Lena and Wolfsville around 5:50pm. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Pleasant Walk and Myersville.
