DEVELOPING: Michaux Manor closes its doors

18 January 2024- Franklin County’s residents will have one less assisted living care facility now after the owner of Michaux Manor confirms to News Talk 1037FM that residents will be moved York County.

In a statement, Michaux Manor Owner Gail Boyer said, “Due to a change in focus for my long-term care company, I am closing Michaux Manor after a number of years of serving the local community. I have appreciated our dear residents and their families- and the dedicated employees who have taken care of them. Many of our residents will be transitioning over to Victorian Villa Personal Care Home in Dallastown, PA, an assisted living facility with a lovely home-like atmosphere.”

The South Mountain facility in Fayetteville looks to continue to have residents until all are resettled, but a timetable has not been confirmed.

Michaux Manor, according to their website, has served as a personal care, respite care, hospice care, and home health care facility since its inception 33 years ago.
