CHAMBERSBURG – Earlier this morning (approximately 9:30am), 30 October 2023, the Chambersburg Police Department (CPD) responded to 109 Garfield St. for a shooting. A story reported on TriState Alert – click here.
Upon arrival at 109 Garfield St., officers made contact with a male victim who had been shot in his leg and hand. He informed the officers of a confrontation that occurred at 768 S. Main St., where the shooting took place. He was then transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The severity of his injuries is unknown. CPD is actively investigating this isolated incident and the public is not in danger. CPD’s Criminal Investigative Division is looking for any information the public may have pertaining to this investigation.
