28 July 2023- The City’s Code Administration inspectors identified a garage near 25 Wayside Avenue that is in danger of collapse; this garage is adjacent to Cramer Alley. Until the garage can be stabilized or demolished, it presents a hazard to pedestrians and vehicles using the alley.
Therefore, beginning immediately, Cramer Alley will be closed to through traffic between Broadway and Wayside Avenue. The alley will remain open to traffic south of the garage, and can be accessed from Broadway; however, traffic will not be able pass through to Wayside Avenue. At this time, there is no estimate of how long the alley will remain closed.
Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this portion of Cramer Alley while the closure is in effect.
