CPD Roundup: Slashed tires, counterfeit money, and more

29 November 2022- On 11/28/2022, a Chambersburg resident reported that someone had stolen their wallet out of their vehicle sometime overnight from 11/27/2022-11/28/2022.  The vehicle was parked in the 500 block of Montgomery Alley. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to submit a tip on Crimewatch or contact the Chambersburg Police Department.

On 11/10/2022 at approximately 1955 hours, CPD was dispatched to the 100 block of N Sixth Street for a criminal mischief complaint.   The caller and a witness heard air escaping from the front tire of the victim’s vehicle.  Upon closer inspection there were multiple puncture marks on the side of the tire.  Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip on Crime Watch or contact the Chambersburg Police Department 717-264-4131.

On 8/23/2022, a victim reported their vehicle was struck while parked in the King St parking lot of the Chambersburg Hospital.  The victim’s vehicle was a gray Kia van and the striking vehicle appeared to be light in color due to the damage. Further investigation since that time has not provided a suspect. Anyone who might have seen this happen is asked to submit a tip on Crimewatch or contact the Chambersburg Police Department.

On 11/19/2022 at 7:40 PM, a male entered Uptown Cheapskate and purchased clothing using a counterfeit $100.00 bill.  The male’s identity is unknown and he left in an unknown direction.  The person shown in this photo may have information relevant to an ongoing police investigation.  He is a person of interest but not necessarily a suspect at this time.  If you believe you have information that can assist in this investigation, please contact the Chambersburg Police Department or submit a tip on Crimewatch. 

Uwakwe Chukwu Oko received a large sum of stolen money in his bank account which he then transferred to a separate personal account which he wrote checks to himself from for cash.  Anyone with any information on Oko’s location is asked to contact the Chambersburg Police Dept. or leave a tip on Crime Watch.
