31 October 2023- On 10/15/23 at approximately 1317 hours, CPD was dispatched to the 500 block of E King St for the theft of a bicycle which was a black in color TREK with multiple blue decals. The theft would have occurred between 1600 hours on 10/09 and 1600 hours on 10/12. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Chambersburg Police Department or submit a tip on Crimewatch.
On the evening of October 9, 2023 into the morning of October 10, 2023, someone spray painted several mailboxes, trashcans, and other items along Stouffer Ave between Lincoln Way E and McKinley St, including the Chambersburg Area Middle School – South. A can of hair color spray was found in one of the vandalized mailboxes. On 10/2/2023 at 10:58 AM, CPD was dispatched to the intersection of Norland Avenue and Scotland Avenue for a reported hit and run. The victim’s vehicle was struck by the pictured vehicle. The vehicle fled from the scene without providing the necessary aid or required information for an insurance exchange. On October 7, 2023 at approximately 5:30 PM, someone entered the Wine & Spirits store, located at 987 Wayne Ave, and stole 4 bottles of high-end tequila by putting them in his socks. The thief was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, black sneakers, a dark baseball cap, and a facemask covering the lower half of his face. The person shown in the photograph on this post is a person of interest and not necessarily a suspect at this time. On 10/24/2023 at 5:40 AM the Chambersburg Police responded to the 100 block of E Washington St for a report of stolen vehicle. The victim stated she left her vehicle running while she was inside her house. When the victim came back outside her vehicle was gone. The stolen vehicle is a gray Kia Optima displaying PA registration KNH8331. The person shown in this photo may have information relevant to an ongoing police investigation. He is a person of interest, but not necessarily a suspect at this time.
