09 January 2023- On 12/13/22 the Chambersburg Police Department was dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express at 1097 Wayne Ave for a hit and run. Someone struck the concrete block wall that surrounds the dumpster and knocked part of the wall down. The striking vehicle most likely was a larger vehicle. If anyone has information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact CPD at 717-264-4131 or submit a tip through Crimewatch.
On 01/08/2023, a male individual took items from the Giant Foods, located at 993 Wayne Ave. The person shown in this photo may have information relevant to an ongoing police investigation. He/she is a person of interest, but not necessarily a suspect at this time. On 1/6/23, CPD took a report of a hit and run in the parking lot off the 100 block of S Eighth St. The victim’s vehicle was struck by a vehicle causing damage to the front quarter panel. The accident was reported to have occurred sometime between 0800-1200 hours on this date.
