02 January 2023: On 12/29/22 at approximately 318pm the pictured van sideswiped the victim’s vehicle while it was parked on W Washington St. knocking the driver’s side view mirror off. The driver left the scene without leaving any information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chambersburg Police Dept. or leave a tip on Crime Watch.
On 12/16/2022, Chambersburg Police responded to the unit block of Grandview Ave for a reported theft from a motor vehicle. It was found that someone had cut off 5 catalytic converters from U-Haul trucks that were parked there overnight. Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip or contact Chambersburg Police Department.
On 12/27/2022 at 2:56am, CPD responded to a Criminal Mischief complaint at 213 Lincoln Way W. The victim reported that two subjects threw ice at her vehicle while she was traveling west on Lincoln Way W, breaking the passenger’s side rear view mirror. On 12/31/2022 CPD units responded to a residence in the 700 block of Cumberland Ave for a criminal mischief. The caller reported that when he returned to his residence, he found that his front door was damaged. Surveillance video showed three subjects damage the door at approximately 5:00pm before fleeing the area. On 12/22/2022 at approximately 2321 hours, CPD was dispatched to the 300 Block of S Hackberry Drive for a hit and run. Contact was made with the victim who said her vehicle was struck while parked in front of the residence. CPD was dispatched to the 100 block of W King Street for a theft. The victim said a package was delivered on 12/17/2022 and it was stolen at approximately 2130 that night. On 12-30-2022 Pamela Whitehead was arrested and charged with retail theft after she concealed cosmetic products inside her purse with the intent to take them from the store without paying.
On 12/27/2022, the Chambersburg Police Department responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle report in the 300 block of Lincoln Way E. The caller reported that the catalytic converters were cut from two of their vehicles. The caller believed that the incident took place sometime in the past two weeks. On December 22, 2022 at 10:45 P.M. a gray in color Toyota Tacoma struck an unattended vehicle in the Norland Pub parking lot. The victim reported that the Toyota Tacoma had struck his vehicle and fled the scene without providing insurance information.
