CPD Roundup: Bottles thrown at vehicles, multiple domestic arrests

15 January 2024- On 12/20/2023 CPD officers were dispatched to the 300 block of LWW for a reported domestic. Upon reaching the scene officers began their investigation. At its conclusion, the officers investigation found that Jose Vasquez Cruz had strangled his wife during their confrontation. Cruz was taken into custody and transported to the Franklin Co. Jail. 


On 12/30/23 the Chambersburg Police Department was dispatched to 1099 Wayne Ave for an auto accident. CPD learned that Jonathan L Gordon was involved in the auto accident and left the scene without providing the required information or contacting the police. Jonathan L Gordon was charged with Accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property. 


On 1/13/2024 at approximately 0130 hours, Chambersburg Police responded to the 700 block of Broad St for a domestic dispute.  Through investigation it was found that William Butler had punched the victim in the chin causing substantial swelling and choked the victim as well.  Butler was taken to the Franklin County Jail.


On 12/27/2023 at 0423 hrs, the CPD was dispatched to the intersection of Fifth Ave and Montgomery Ave for a reported vehicle accident. Upon arrival, CPD units made contact with Lindsey Hepfer. Hepfer had crashed into a parked trailer that was parked on the side of the road. Hepfer explained told officers that she had consumed an alcoholic beverage prior to driving her vehicle. After CPD units had confirmed that Hepfer was to intoxicated to operate a vehicle, she was taken to the Chambersburg Hospital. Hepfer was charged with 1 count of DUI highest rate, and DUI general impairment.


On 01/13/24 at approximately 3:50pm, Chambersburg Police Department responded to the 300 block of W King Street for a reported Disturbance. Through further investigation it was found that Alysia Logsdon had thrown a water bottle at a vehicle in motion on a roadway with the victim inside. The victim reported that she stopped her vehicle and Logsdon threw the water bottle at her vehicle again, and then proceeded to hit her passenger side window with her hand. Logsdon is charged with (1) count of Propulsion of Missiles into Occupied Vehicle.
